Happy New Year! Welcome to our Blog!

Hi there! Casey and Ashley here! We're the Event & Facility Coordinators at Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons, Colorado. We’re big believers that wedding planning should be fun and can be stress-free. Too often we hear brides and grooms are overwhelmed, and it stops them in their wedding planning tracks. We hate to hear it, so we made a plan to put this blog together in hopes of providing the help needed to get through the wedding plans with some good humor and fun.

We understand not everyone wants to hire a wedding planner, and we also know most couples don’t work in the event planning industry. We’re here to share thoughts, advice, and resources, so you can plan the wedding of your dreams without getting overwhelmed.

What’s our theory you ask? After both planning our own outdoor weddings, we learned that there are two essentials to the process:

• Always consider the logistics
• Have a good sense of humor
